Every Tuesday and Wednesday our family reaches out with the love of Christ by doing anything we can to help, entertain and cheer up the disabled people living at Cheshire Home. We help them make phone calls, write letters, tidy cupboards and then we also just chat with them and play games.

Dear Friends, Finally I can say, “Greetings from Namibia”. The Lord graciously granted us a safe trip up at the end of April. I was blessed to have a friend, Marianne drive up with me and spend ten days here before having to take her to Windhoek to board the bus back to Cape Town. While in Windhoek, I was able to sort out my documentation. The Lord had providentially provided citizenship in 1993 and it is still valid. After setting up camp at Nakambale and a good night’s sleep we went to visit Christofine at Onamambili and promptly got stuck in the mud. Fortunately there was help near by and we managed to get the car out, not without a flat tyre though. Eventually we arrived at Christofine’s homestead and were greeted with a huge smile. My time here has been quite eventful.
SALT motivates and encourages volunteers to become involved in local projects and to network with other organisations and churches in order to work together to bring about positive change and to help uplift our local community. |
