Our vision at St Matthews is for as many people as possible to “Experience God’s Family” through us.

What does that mean?

Well, given that God our Father so loved the world that He gave His only Son to die on a cross to save us from our sin and the judgment due us because of our sin.

And given that when we believe in God’s Son Jesus for the forgiveness of our sin and salvation from judgment we are adopted into God’s family and receive every blessing that is available to us from God!

We believe that as a local Church we have no higher calling than, with the help of the Holy Spirit and for the glory of God, to help as many people as possible “Experience God’s Family”. That is:

• Help people Discover God’sFamily through their experience of St Matthews people and faith in Jesus.
• Help people Belong to God’s family through faith in Jesus and their experience of a discipleship relationship with someone at St Matthews.

This is our way, in our community of carrying on the commission given to the disciples in Matthew 28 : 18 - 20 to be disciple-making disciples.
